Scotland’s Environmental Health community was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Martin Keeley who died suddenly at home on Sunday 9 January 2022.
A Chartered Environmental Health Officer working as Environmental Health Manager at West Dunbartonshire Council, Martin was also a past President, Fellow and Council Member of the Institute. Amongst many and varied areas of work he contributed to, he was a long serving member representative of the Institute to the International Federation of Environmental Health and was recently elected as Chair of the European Federation of Environmental Health. A dedicated and very able professional, Martin will be greatly missed by his wife Karen, his family and many friends and colleagues.
The President, members of the Institute’s Council and staff offer their sincere condolences to Karen and family at this very sad time.
